Part of the GlenAllachie Wine Series, this 11 year old Speyside malt is matured in American oak ex-Bourbon barrels, then refined for over two years in wine barriques from Premier Cru Classé chateaux in Bordeaux, handpicked by Master Distiller Billy Walker. This process, influenced by the oak’s history with specific grape varieties and winery terroirs, imparts unique complexities and deep flavors like black cherry and espresso. This 11 year old GlenAllachie malt, bottled at 48% and limited to 1,800 cases, is a non-chill filtered Speyside treasure without added colouring, offering a rich and intricate drinking experience.
Tasting Note by GlenAllachie:
Nose: Waves of butterscotch, blackcurrant and heather honey, with hints of minerality, poached orchard fruits and orange zest.
Palate: Layers of honeycomb, black fruits and dark chocolate, followed by coffee, truffle and cinnamon, with crème de cassis and ginger on the finish.
